How to Prepare the Diet Salad

Step One: To make this delicious salad, first cook or grill the chicken breast. Cut the cooked chicken breast into slightly large pieces and set aside. Boil one large potato, and after it cools down, cut it into slightly large cubes with or without the skin and set aside.

Step Two: Dice one large cucumber and place it in a suitable bowl. Add the chopped green onions, chopped parsley, and chopped dill to the cucumber. Then add the Greek yogurt, mustard sauce, lemon juice, grated garlic, salt, and pepper to the mixture and stir well until smooth.

Step Three: In the final step, add the cooked and chopped chicken and potatoes to the main salad ingredients and mix well using two tablespoons until the flavors blend together. Place the salad bowl in the refrigerator for one hour so the salad becomes cool and fully set. Your delicious diet salad is now ready to serve. Enjoy!

Important Tips

  • Since this is a diet salad, Greek yogurt is used instead of mayonnaise or fatty salad dressings because it is slightly creamy and contains no excess water. If you do not want the salad to be diet-friendly, you can remove the yogurt from the recipe and replace it with mayonnaise or any salad dressing you prefer.

  • Try to use fresh vegetables when making this salad. If fresh dill and parsley are not available, you can use dried dill and parsley instead, although the taste and aroma of the salad are much better with fresh herbs.

  • If you do not have green onions at home, you can use chopped red onion instead.
