SAEDNEWS: The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, has highlighted nuclear fusion as a major priority in Iran’s long-term nuclear strategy.
According to Saednews, Speaking at a ceremony in Tehran marking National Government Week, Eslami said that developing nuclear fusion is a key priority for the future of Iran’s nuclear industry. He stressed that Iran should make progress in this field by drawing on domestic expertise, knowledge-based companies, and universities.
He noted that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran’s (AEOI) innovation network has helped move fusion research beyond the technology demonstration phase toward system development and the strengthening of technical capabilities.
Eslami also said that the launch of a non-destructive testing (NDT) training center represents an important step toward enhancing industrial quality, promoting technological advancement, and developing specialized expertise within the country.
