Ferrari’s First Electric Car Is Coming To The Market

According to SAEDNEWS, citing Reuters, competitors such as Porsche and Lamborghini have scaled back their electric vehicle ambitions due to weak demand.

The Italian four-door car, named “Luce,” was developed in collaboration with former Apple Chief Design Officer Jony Ive and his design firm LoveFrom. It is also Ferrari’s first five-seater vehicle.

Ferrari is targeting wealthy families with this model, offering high-end technology and luxury seating. Deliveries of the Luce, priced at €550,000 (about $640,000), are set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The automaker hopes the vehicle will help it enter markets such as China, where electric vehicles are widely adopted.

Enrico Galliera, Ferrari’s Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, said the car is truly ideal. It features four electric motors (one per wheel), producing over 1,000 horsepower, a top speed of 310 km/h, and improved agility despite weighing over 2.2 tons.

Ferrari stated that the car can travel more than 500 km on a single charge.

According to BBC, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. The company also said it has designed and built all components in-house, allowing future repairs and helping preserve the car’s resale value.
