According to a report from the Science and Technology service of Saednews, a new video of the Karaj B1 Bridge (Bilaqan) has been released, once again drawing attention to one of Iran’s most prominent civil engineering projects.

This cable-stayed bridge, with an approximate length of 1,050 meters and a height of up to 138 meters, was reportedly targeted during the recent conflict by opposing forces described in the original report as US–Israeli aggressors. However, thanks to its advanced design and structural strength, it remains a symbol of Iranian engineering capability.

A striking aerial film recently shared on social media showcases various angles of this massive structure, including:

Main spans of up to 176 meters, the use of high-strength concrete, a post-tensioning system, and a segmental construction method that places its execution quality among the most advanced bridge projects in the world. Drone footage over the valley highlights giant cranes, moving formworks, and advanced deck construction stages, emphasizing both the beauty and technical complexity of the project.

The Karaj B1 Bridge is a key part of the Northern Karaj Expressway and plays an important role in improving transportation efficiency by reducing traffic on the heavily used Tehran–Karaj corridor by approximately 30%. This leads to fuel savings and reduced air pollution.

Experts believe that the rapid restoration and maintained structural integrity after the reported incident once again demonstrate Iran’s leading position in the region in the construction of large and complex bridges. The released video has already attracted millions of views, bringing the name “Bilaqan B1 Bridge” back into public attention.
