Saed News: The facial reconstruction of the famous Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun has produced an astonishing result.
According to SAEDNEWS, quoting Javan News, thousands of years after the death of Tutankhamun, the famous pharaoh of Egypt’s 18th dynasty, it is finally possible to take a look at his face. The reconstruction of the young king, who died more than 3,000 years ago, was carried out by an international team of academics from Brazil, Australia, and Italy. They reconstructed Tutankhamun’s face using a digital model of his mummy skull.
Brazilian researcher Cicero Moraes, a member of the project, said: “The result looks more like a young student than an ancient royal figure whose mummy, along with dozens of incredible treasures, was discovered in November 1922 by British archaeologist Howard Carter in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings.”
Since the international team did not have direct access to the pharaoh’s skull, completing the model was challenging. Fortunately, previous studies had recorded skull measurements and published reference images.

The reconstruction team precisely rebuilt the size of the lips, the position of the eyes, the location of the ears, and the shape of the nose. To achieve an accurate result, they also used CT scans of living human skulls. However, elements such as eye color are not precise and were added to make the final result appear more natural.
Tutankhamun died in 1323 BC.
