Saed News: A metal detectorist in Romania named “Marius Mănjak” has succeeded in discovering a treasure of Roman silver coins (1469 silver denarii) that were buried in a field in the “Letca Nouă” region.
According to SAEDNEWS, an amateur metal detectorist in Romania went into nature with his device. Suddenly, the silence of the environment was broken, and the man’s device, named Marius Mănjak, started beeping continuously. In a Facebook post dated April 22, he wrote that with every signal he heard, his heartbeat became faster.
Marius had managed to discover a treasure of Roman silver coins (1469 silver denarii) buried in a field in Letca Nouă. This discovery was unbelievable for him.

According to the database of the “Roman Imperial Coin Hoards Project” at the University of Oxford, these coins bear the images of 11 Roman emperors and empresses, including Nero and Marcus Aurelius.
These coins belong to the Roman Empire period, which lasted from 31 BC to 476 AD; therefore, it can be said that this treasure is at least 1538 years old. According to records, the treasure was found together with a broken pottery vessel. Marius said that he took photos of the coins before handing them over to the authorities.

According to the Romanian media outlet TVRInfo, experts have stated that this treasure most likely belonged to a very wealthy person.
