Putin Becomes a Traveler to Tehran / Mohajerani: We Are Preparing for the Russian President's Visit to Iran

According to a report by Saednews based on ISNA, "Fatemeh Mojaherani," the spokesperson for the Iranian government, stated that Tehran is preparing for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Iran.

RIA Novosti, publishing this news, reported that Mojaherani said, "We are preparing for Putin's visit to Tehran."

The Kremlin has not yet announced a schedule for the Russian president’s visit to Iran.

Indirect Iran-U.S. Talks
RIA Novosti quoted Mojaherani as referring to the Tehran-Washington negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program, which, if an agreement is reached, would result in the lifting of U.S. sanctions. She stated: "We have never had an issue with U.S. investment. It is they who have deprived themselves of the immense capacities of Iran."

The spokesperson for the government added, "Naturally, if a new agreement is reached, the U.S. will be able to fully benefit from Iran’s economic potential, and we, as a country capable of investing in multiple sectors, are ready for that as well."

Mojaherani, referring to talks with European countries about Iran's nuclear program, said that these countries must first prove their goodwill for Iran to continue its discussions with them.

European countries, in the 2015 nuclear deal, which the current U.S. administration withdrew from in 2018, failed to meet their commitments regarding reducing the impact of U.S. sanctions on Iran and efforts to provide a framework for normalizing trade relations with Iran.

Iran and the U.S. held the fourth round of their indirect negotiations, mediated by Oman, in Muscat yesterday.

Iran's Foreign Minister, "Seyed Abbas Araghchi," after the conclusion of the fourth round of talks, stated that this round was "more direct and serious" than the previous three. He mentioned, "We have moved away from the general framework and got into more specific issues, and under these conditions, the talks become more difficult. Despite the challenges and directness in these negotiations, very useful discussions were held."

Araghchi also said that the next round of talks would likely take place within a week, plus or minus a day.

In this context, Axios news agency reported that a senior U.S. official claimed that these negotiations were both "direct and indirect."

Axios quoted the official as saying, "Today, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, and Steve Vitek, U.S. Special Envoy, negotiated directly and indirectly with each other."

The U.S. official added, "It was agreed that discussions would continue on the technical elements. We are encouraged by today’s results and eagerly look forward to our next session, which will be held soon."

"Esmaeil Baghaei," spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, announced the conclusion of the fourth round of indirect talks between Iran and the U.S., stating: "It was a tough but useful negotiation for better understanding each other's positions and finding reasonable and realistic ways to resolve the disagreements. The time and location for the next round of talks will be announced by the Omani coordinator."

In another part of the interview, the Iranian government spokesperson emphasized that Iran will offer any necessary assistance in resolving the India-Pakistan dispute through diplomacy.
