SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister Urges Macron to Respect Public Demands, Including Freedom of Assembly

Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi Calls on Macron to Heed Public Demands

According to Saednews, Iran’s top diplomat, Abbas Araghchi, criticized French President Emmanuel Macron in a post on X on Monday, accusing him of supporting actions against Iran.

“Mr. Macron made his bed when he assured POTUS that he welcomes atrocities against Iran,” Araghchi wrote.

He said it was too late for Macron to blame others for a war that he and his allies had helped cause. Araghchi also claimed that the French people were demanding sweeping changes, including freedom of assembly.

“Listen to the future of France, Mr. Macron,” he added.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei accused Macron of applying a double standard on nuclear deterrence.

According to Baghaei, Macron made remarks about the importance of military strength and deterrence during a test involving a ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.

Macron reportedly said that to be free, a country must be feared, and to be feared, it must be powerful.
