SAEDNEWS: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf says China’s rejection of the latest round of US sanctions against Iran demonstrates the deep strategic partnership between the two allies, extending far beyond ordinary international relations.
According to Saednews, In a Wednesday post on X, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Iran and China will continue strengthening their ties under the 25-year cooperation agreement signed in March 2021.
His remarks came one day after a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Beijing would take all necessary measures to safeguard its rights and interests after the United States announced the so-called “D-Day” economic sanctions against Iran. Washington has used the term to emphasize the seriousness of its latest measures against Tehran.
Ghalibaf said the Iran-China comprehensive strategic partnership is based on mutual respect, mutually beneficial cooperation, and a shared commitment to building a multipolar world.
He also stressed that the relationship between Tehran and Beijing does not require permission from any other country. Ghalibaf additionally serves as Iran’s special envoy for China-related affairs.
