SAEDNEWS: Donald Trump has announced what he described as an unprecedented “economic war” against Iran, threatening severe consequences for countries and institutions that continue financial or commercial dealings with Tehran.
According to SaedNews: Donald Trump, after years of pursuing a “maximum pressure” policy against Iran and subsequently turning to military action, has once again resorted to economic pressure, declaring what he called an “economic war” against the country.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he was announcing “the toughest economic operation against a country” and described it as an economic war and unprecedented economic isolation.
Trump also repeated his claim that Iran’s naval and air forces had been destroyed, alleging that the country was on the verge of collapse.
He then warned other countries against maintaining financial ties with Iran, saying any country that allows its financial institutions, companies, airports or government bodies to provide support to Iran would face severe economic consequences.
Trump added that oil smuggling, barter transactions, cash transfers, exchange offices, ship registrations and shell companies must all stop immediately.
The report notes that the issue is not new, as the United States has spent years attempting to prevent financial and commercial dealings with Iran. However, Iran has learned ways to circumvent these restrictions and, as the report puts it, has become highly experienced at doing so.
