SAEDNEWS: Iranian Parliament Speaker: U.S. Forces Seek ‘Dignified Exit,’ Israel Has ‘No Future’ in West Asia

Ghalibaf: US Seeks an Honorable Exit from the Region; Israel Has No Future

According to Saednews, Speaking at Baghdad airport, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the site where Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were killed in a 2020 U.S. strike represents the shared history of Iran and Iraq and the broader struggle between “truth and falsehood.”

Ghalibaf said the United States targeted the two commanders because it could not prevent the expansion of the Resistance Front, but argued that the strike had failed to weaken its influence. “It is enough to look at the state of the region to see who is winning,” he said.

He described the Ramadan war as evidence of the strength of Iranian resistance, claiming that the Resistance discourse had gained a global reach. He also said Israel’s actions had exposed what he called the “dirty reality” of the Zionist regime and led many people around the world to view Israel as an enemy of humanity.

According to Ghalibaf, the region is undergoing a major shift in its security structure following the Ramadan war. He said foreign and extra-regional involvement was declining, while U.S. forces were seeking a “dignified” withdrawal from the region. He also claimed that Israel would have no future in the emerging regional order.

Ghalibaf said his visit to Iraq was intended to support this new regional framework and promote greater cooperation among regional countries without foreign intervention. He added that Iran was prepared to deepen security cooperation with other Islamic countries alongside long-term economic partnerships.

During his visit, Ghalibaf was scheduled to meet Iraqi government and parliamentary officials and attend a ceremony in Karbala marking 40 days since the burial of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution. He said he would convey the gratitude of Iran’s new leader and the Iranian people to Iraq for its role in the funeral ceremonies.

“The bond between the two nations of Iran and Iraq is historic, deep-rooted and unbreakable,” Ghalibaf said. “Our brotherhood is our strength.”
