IRGC Tehran Commander: US and Israel Have No Answer to Repeated Failures

According to Saednews, Senior US and Israeli officials have been unable to provide convincing answers to the public, intellectuals, or their own citizens over their repeated failures, Brigadier General Hassan Hassanzadeh said during a visit to a local military division in the capital on Saturday.

According to Press TV, Hassanzadeh said that the United States and Israel had failed to accomplish their objectives against Iran’s Islamic establishment.

He was referring to the two sides’ latest rounds of what Iran describes as unprovoked aggression against the Islamic Republic. The first conflict occurred last June, followed by another campaign that lasted from February 28 to April 7.

According to the Iranian commander, the objectives that were not achieved included removing Iran’s Islamic establishment from power, weakening the country’s Armed Forces, and compelling Tehran to abandon its peaceful nuclear energy program.

Iran responded to both conflicts with successive waves of attacks targeting sensitive and strategic American and Israeli positions across the region.

During the 12-day conflict in June, Washington sought a ceasefire with Tehran following a request from Israel. In the subsequent 40-day conflict, US President Donald Trump declared a unilateral ceasefire after Iran’s Armed Forces had carried out at least 100 retaliatory operations.

Hassanzadeh said Iran’s Armed Forces have continued to respond firmly to what Tehran considers US violations following the ceasefire and the later conclusion of a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding.

The commander also praised the Iranian public for its nationwide support of the Islamic establishment. He particularly highlighted the role of the Basij volunteer force and said that public backing had contributed to Iran’s successes against its adversaries.
