Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters Warns Countries Against Targeting Iran’s Funds: Permanent Ban on Interference

According to Saednews, Iran’s armed forces have warned that they will block vessels linked to any country or company that uses Iranian frozen assets under a proposed U.S. compensation plan, following remarks attributed to former U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaqari, speaking on Tuesday, Trump stated that compensation for ships allegedly damaged during the recent conflict with Iran would be paid from Iran’s frozen assets. Zolfaqari claimed the vessels were affected because of what he described as U.S. military actions that created insecurity in the region and because they navigated through an "illegal and unsafe" route south of the Strait of Hormuz.

The spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters condemned the proposal as unlawful and warned of serious consequences. He said that any country or company accepting compensation from Iran’s blocked assets would face restrictions.

Zolfaqari declared that, from this point forward, the Iranian Armed Forces would deny passage through the Strait of Hormuz to vessels belonging to those countries or companies that benefit from such assets.

The statement marks a further escalation in tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most strategically important maritime routes for global energy shipments.
