According to Saed News Political Desk, citing Today News, a large protest banner displayed at a prominent location in Istanbul reads: "Hide Your Children, Trump Is Coming!"

The banner was installed ahead of the upcoming NATO Summit and reflects the dissatisfaction of some Turkish social activists with the visit of the President of the United States.

While the visit has been presented as an opportunity for strategic discussions between Ankara and Washington, several activist groups have expressed their opposition to U.S. policies through symbolic public demonstrations.

The upcoming NATO Summit, attended by representatives of the alliance's 32 member states, is scheduled to take place in Ankara on July 7–8, 2026.

Founded in 1949, NATO is a U.S.-led defensive alliance established to promote collective security. Throughout its history, the organization has focused on maintaining stability in Europe, containing the former Soviet Union during the Cold War, and reinforcing the United States' role as a leading global power.
