SAEDNEWS: Donald Trump claimed that Iran has agreed to the presence of American inspectors alongside International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) officials to inspect the country’s nuclear facilities, a statement that drew an implicit response from the Foreign Ministry.

Trump’s strange claim about American presence at Iran’s nuclear sites: new bluff or secret deal?

According to the policy news service of Saed News, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, claimed in an interview with Fox News that American inspectors will soon visit Iran’s nuclear sites as part of delegations from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He further asserted that the Iranian side has agreed to the presence of these inspectors, adding that Washington is in no hurry to dispatch them.

These controversial remarks come at a time when Trump’s administration has consistently sought to shape public opinion in favor of its policies through media narratives and unilateral assumptions, aiming to present itself as holding the upper hand in any diplomatic process with Tehran.

In response to these claims and Western media narratives, Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, clearly outlined Tehran’s framework for cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog. He stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s engagement with the International Atomic Energy Agency will continue strictly in accordance with safeguard commitments, existing legal procedures, and in line with the approvals of the Iranian Parliament and decisions of the Supreme National Security Council. He emphasized that national sovereignty will not be subject to external interpretations or claims.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson also referred to details of the recent meeting in Switzerland, rejecting speculation about early agreements or acceptance of specific conditions. Baghaei explained that nuclear and sanctions-related issues are being addressed under a 60-day memorandum of understanding, but any entry into detailed negotiations depends on the implementation of prior conditions and specific provisions—some of which have already been carried out while others are still in progress.

He added that during the Swiss meeting, the American side only presented general positions, and no detailed negotiations or written agreements were reached regarding technical nuclear aspects or the mechanisms for lifting sanctions. This, he noted, indicates that Trump’s recent statements are largely intended for domestic political consumption and propaganda purposes.
