SAEDNEWS: A senior Iranian source told TASS News Agency that remarks made by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio during his visit to the Gulf countries risk undermining the agreement reached with Iran.
According to the political desk of Saed News, citing ISNA, an informed source stated:
"The United States' confrontational stance, as demonstrated during Marco Rubio's visit to the Gulf countries, risks undermining the hard-won agreement reached to bring an end to the war."
The source added that there is growing speculation in Iran that a division of responsibilities exists within the U.S. administration, with the aim of increasing pressure on Tehran to participate in "parallel negotiations" intended to limit the activities of the "Axis of Resistance."
The source emphasized, "Iran has made it explicitly clear that it will not negotiate over its regional allies."
The source also said that Europe is attempting to increase pressure on Tehran by raising concerns about Iran's missile program. According to the source:
"From Tehran's perspective, the Europeans' recent and poorly judged positions regarding Iran's ballistic missiles are viewed as part of a broader pressure campaign under a joint U.S.-European Union strategy aimed at what they describe as the 'neutralization of Iran.'"
The source stressed that Iran has clearly stated it will not tolerate such pressure and will not retreat on either of these issues.
Concluding the remarks, the Iranian source said:
"Iran will not allow its regional allies to fall, nor will it abandon its missile program."
