"These are not statements from the Qajar era; they were made in February 2025."
Ghalibaf had said:
"The Leader said that we do not negotiate with the United States. That is clear and final. Once, during a press conference, I was asked whether there was any difference between Harris and Trump, the U.S. presidential candidates. I replied, 'Yes, there is certainly a difference.' They asked, 'What difference?' I said, 'The difference is that Trump is the killer of Martyr Soleimani. How could we possibly remain indifferent? When the Leader says that negotiating with the United States is not honorable, then it is indeed not honorable.'"
