SAEDNEWS: Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, posted on the social media platform X on the anniversary of the 12-day war and the military aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime in Khordad 1404 (Iranian calendar), highlighting the resistance of the Iranian people.
According to the political service of the Saed News website, coinciding with the anniversary of the military aggression by the U.S.-Israeli coalition against the Islamic Republic of Iran in Khordad 1404 (the 12-day war), Ismail Baghaei posted a message on the social network X, revisiting this historical event and highlighting the resistance of the Iranian nation.
In this message, Baghaei used an eloquent and epic tone, referring to the strategic failure of Iran’s adversaries and describing the firm determination of Iranians as the main factor behind this victory. Below are the key sections of his message:
At the beginning of his message, the spokesperson of the foreign ministry referred to repeated breaches of commitments by the Western-Zionist coalition and wrote:
“In the illusion of victory, they turned betrayal into the gateway of a surprise attack and struck a land whose resistance and iron will in defeating enemies is renowned throughout history.”
In another part of the thread, Baghaei recalled the unjust dimensions of this 12-day assault, pointing to attacks on vital infrastructure and the country’s defenders, and added:
“Today marks the anniversary of the start of the military aggression by the Israeli regime—backed by the United States—a campaign that included the cowardly assassination of the nation’s defenders and attacks on nuclear facilities.”
He emphasized that the steadfast will and self-sacrifice of the Iranian people ultimately led the enemy, who now openly admits “we did everything we could,” to face defeat and humiliation, recording a remarkable example of power, resilience, and dignity in history.
At the end of his meaningful message, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson cited verses by the poet Saeb Tabrizi to describe the spirit of sacrifice and the high status of resistance against oppressors:
“We have boldly passed beyond the sweetness of life; we have devoted this honey to flies.
Like the morning, we have risen from the east of existence; with every breath, we have given life to the world.”
