According to the newspaper's report, Trump said that his administration could consider various options if a potential agreement with Iran is not reached. In part of his remarks, he referred to the possibility of considering special forces operations.
The Financial Times also reported that Trump stated the United States could resume military action or continue its policy of naval blockade against Iran if negotiations fail to produce results.
In the interview, Trump claimed that maintaining a naval blockade could have a significant impact and would remain one of Washington’s tools of pressure. He also emphasized that the final decision on the future course of action would depend on the progress and outcome of the negotiations.
