SAEDNEWS: U.S. Senator Acknowledges Iran’s Military Strength, Says Situation in Strait of Hormuz Is Harmful to the United States
According to the political service of Saed News, Republican Senator from South Carolina Lindsey Graham appeared on Sunday evening on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” and admitted:
“I think the current situation is harming all of us. The longer the Strait of Hormuz remains more closed, the more we try to pursue a deal that will never happen, and Iran becomes stronger.”
The Islamic Republic of Iran, during the U.S.–Israeli aggression, prohibited passage through the Strait of Hormuz for hostile ships and made passage for vessels of other countries conditional upon full coordination with Iran.
Senator Graham further referred to China and Taiwan, claiming:
“If China attacks Taiwan, we will impose sanctions on them.”
He added:
“I want China to know: if you try to take Taiwan by force, this is what will happen to your economy. All U.S. sanctions and tariffs will be imposed from day one.”
The American hawkish senator also claimed:
“Donald Trump imposed a 25% tariff on India because of its purchase of Russian oil. A time will come when China must be held accountable for what it does.”
