Saed News: Israeli sources, in a controversial clip, admitted that they have conducted organized training and coordinated editors in order to influence and change the content of Wikipedia articles related to Palestine and Israel, aiming to promote their preferred narrative in the world’s largest online encyclopedia.
According to SAEDNEWS, Wikipedia as a widely visited global reference has long been the target of organized efforts to manipulate its content. According to the video published by the Islamic Revolution Media Literacy Movement, Israeli officials and groups have acknowledged that by holding training courses and coordinating editors, they have intervened in articles related to the Israel–Palestine conflict in order to strengthen the Zionist narrative. These actions included training volunteers for targeted editing and gradually altering sensitive pages.
The video, referring to millions of users relying on Wikipedia as an information source, warns that “freedom of editing” does not necessarily mean neutrality and can become a tool for narrative warfare. Such efforts, which have previously also been reported by pro-Israel groups, highlight the importance of media literacy and source verification in today’s digital world.
