Breaking: Al Mayadeen Reveals Iran’s Response to the United States

According to the political service of the Saed News Agency, the Al Mayadeen network reported that diplomatic sources told the channel details of Iran’s response to the latest U.S. proposal regarding negotiations, delivered through a Pakistani mediator.

According to Fars News Agency, these sources emphasized that Iran’s response included demands to end the blockade, lift restrictions on oil exports, and remove OFAC-related sanctions on the sale of Iranian oil.

The sources added that Iran’s response also calls for Iranian management of the Strait of Hormuz within the framework of the proposed understandings.

According to the same sources, the response includes the lifting of U.S. sanctions and the release of frozen Iranian assets.

Diplomatic sources also reported that the response stipulates any agreement with Washington must include an immediate end to the war upon announcement, followed by 30 days of negotiations to review the details after the cessation of hostilities.

Ceasefire in Lebanon: Iran’s Red Line

The Iranian response emphasizes a clause on a ceasefire in Lebanon, describing it as one of Tehran’s red lines in the negotiations.

The source noted that Iran has linked some of the proposed understandings to guarantees regarding halting escalation in Lebanon.

According to these sources, Iran’s response also proposed reciprocal steps to test U.S. seriousness in fulfilling its commitments, with the condition that talks between Tehran and Washington continue in written form through the Pakistani mediator at this stage.

In recent hours, Iran’s official news agency IRNA reported that Tehran has sent its response to the U.S. proposal for ending the war via the Pakistani mediator, noting that the proposal focuses on ending the conflict in the region.
