SAEDNEWS: During a session of the Parliament’s Councils Commission, the details of a proposal to establish a Ministry of Crisis Prevention and Management were reviewed and ultimately approved.
According to Saed News Agency’s political desk, a meeting of the Parliament’s Internal Affairs and Councils Commission was held during a two-day visit by its members to Kashan County. The session was attended by commission members, the head of the National Disaster Management Organization, the governor of Isfahan Province, deputy ministers from relevant ministries, representatives of the Red Crescent, the National Emergency Organization, and experts from the Parliament Research Center.
As reported by ISNA, the commission reviewed the details of a proposed plan to establish a Ministry of Disaster Prevention and Management. During the meeting, members of parliament presented their views and suggestions regarding the proposal, while relevant executive bodies also shared their perspectives.
In the end, the commission approved the details of the plan. The proposal will now be submitted to the البرلمان (Parliament) floor for further review.
Additionally, during the session, Brigadier General Sajedi-Nia, head of the National Disaster Management Organization, presented a report on the organization’s actions during and after the Ramadan conflict. Commission members also expressed their opinions following the report.
