SAEDNEWS: Attacker Opens Fire While Attempting to Breach Security Gate at Hotel Hosting Trump Dinner
According to the political desk of Saed News, American media reported early this morning that a shooting occurred at the Washington Hilton Hotel, the venue for the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
Reports indicate that as soon as the shooting began, Donald Trump, Melania Trump, and Vice President J.D. Vance, along with other senior officials, were evacuated from the main hall. No injuries to Trump or other officials have been reported, and the shooter was detained by security forces.
Initial reports state that around 9:00 p.m. local time, approximately four to five gunshots were heard in the hotel lobby. The incident took place while the dinner was ongoing in the main hall, attended by thousands of journalists, politicians, celebrities, and government officials.
This marked Trump’s first attendance at the event as president, as he had declined to participate during his first term. Informed sources said the suspect attempted to pass through a security checkpoint with a weapon but was stopped before entering the main hall.
According to American media, the shooter opened fire in the lobby or outside the main hall and was immediately confronted by return fire from Secret Service agents and police. Reports suggest the attacker was either killed or quickly apprehended and removed from the scene.
In his first reaction, Trump took to his phone and wrote on Truth Social: “The Secret Service and law enforcement did an incredible job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter was detained.”
He added that he would prefer the event to continue but left the final decision to law enforcement authorities.
Eyewitnesses, including journalists present at the scene, reported that immediately after the gunshots were heard, Secret Service agents escorted Trump and Melania away from the head table and off the stage.
CNN reported that counter-assault team agents armed with long guns took positions on stage, while guests lay on the ground for safety.
Other attendees confirmed they evacuated the main hall following the gunfire. As of the time of this report, no injuries have been reported, and the security situation at the hotel is under control.
Fox News also reported that the Secret Service and federal law enforcement agencies have launched a preliminary investigation. The identity of the shooter and possible motives have not yet been officially confirmed.

Following the incident, Donald Trump left the Hilton Hotel, and the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was postponed to another date. Meanwhile, military helicopters, armored vehicles, and security forces were deployed around the hotel.
Some American sources have identified the suspect as Cole Thomas Allen, a 31-year-old from Torrance, California, who is currently in custody.
After the incident, Donald Trump also shared an image of the alleged shooter on his social media platform, Truth Social.
