SAEDNEWS: Trump Video Attempt to Drive Wedge Between Iran’s IRGC and Foreign Minister Backfires
According to the political service of the Saed News website, and citing Fars News Agency, the President of the United States made an unusual attempt on the social media platform X to appropriate a recorded audio message from an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy member, but his interpretation was incorrect.
While, contrary to Donald Trump’s recent boasting, the Strait of Hormuz was once again declared closed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Trump posted a video claiming:
“Just now: the IRGC Navy, on the open maritime radio channel, called Iran’s Foreign Minister an ‘idiot.’”
However, the reality soon became clear. In the audio file, an IRGC Navy member addresses ships stationed near the Strait of Hormuz, saying:
“This is the Iranian IRGC Navy speaking to you on Channel 16.”
“Is the Strait of Hormuz still closed?”
“The Strait of Hormuz is still closed.”
“We will reopen it by order of our leader, Imam Khamenei, not because of tweets from an idiot.”
“If you want to pass through the strait, you must obtain permission from the Iranian IRGC Navy.”
“All vessels that have any connection with our enemies will be targeted if they attempt to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.”
As many users commented under Trump’s post, they pointed out and mocked him, clarifying that the IRGC Navy member’s reference to the word “idiot” was not directed at Iran’s Foreign Minister, but in fact at Donald Trump himself.

One user wrote under Trump’s post:
“No. They were calling Trump an ‘idiot,’ but you are spreading misinformation so your supporters can feel satisfied.”
Another user commented:
“This must be the most awkward and funniest justification I have ever seen. They’re clearly calling Trump an idiot.”

Another user mocked Trump, saying:
“Good try 😏
That ‘idiot’ they referred to was Trump — the liar in ALL CAPS, Twitter’s senior poster 😂🤣😂”
Another user wrote:

“Lol, imagine not realizing they were talking about Trump being an idiot 😭💀”

Hundreds of similar comments were posted under Trump’s message, with foreign users pointing out to him that the IRGC Navy’s use of the word “idiot” was clearly referring to Trump himself.
