SAEDNEWS: If another war breaks out today, Iran would be far more powerful and technologically advanced than it was in previous conflicts, the country’s acting defence minister said.
According to Saednews, Iran’s acting defence minister has dismissed repeated threats from the United States, arguing that their continued use reflects weaknesses in intelligence and strategic analysis rather than military strength.
Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Ebn al-Reza, Acting Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics, made the remarks while addressing a gathering of industrial managers. He said some U.S. officials wrongly believe that repeating threats could pressure Iran into changing its position or intimidate the Islamic Republic.
According to Ebn al-Reza, continued reliance on previously issued threats demonstrates that the opposing side has failed to properly assess developments on the ground. He argued that an effective intelligence and analytical system would recognize when previously stated threats had repeatedly failed to produce the desired results.
“Iran should not be spoken to with threats,” he said, adding that Tehran does not consider such statements to have meaningful operational value. In his view, they represent political messaging rather than warnings supported by genuine military capability.
The Iranian official also blamed U.S. and Israeli policies and strategic miscalculations for recent developments across the region. He said Iran does not seek to threaten neighbouring states or regional populations and has consistently tried to distinguish between allies and adversaries through what he described as a measured approach.
Ebn al-Reza warned that any future conflict would see Iran relying on capabilities that are more technologically advanced than those used in previous wars. He said Iran’s continued development of weapons production, defence industries and technological capabilities should not be dismissed as merely political rhetoric.
He added that what is publicly displayed represents only a portion of Iran’s wider defence-industrial capacity, claiming that the country’s military production and technological development are continuing at full pace.
The acting defence minister further described Iran as stronger, more united and more alert than at any previous point in its history. He said the country’s defence capabilities have continued to evolve based on lessons learned from previous battlefield experiences.
He also pointed to what he called unprecedented coordination among different levels of the Iranian state, saying that major decisions are being taken with a high degree of unity and cohesion.
Ebn al-Reza concluded that Iran remains fully prepared to respond to potential threats, stressing that its defence readiness is based on domestic capabilities and independent strategic planning.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran relies on its own will, capability and indigenous capacities to secure its security and defend its interests,” he said.
