SAEDNEWS: On Monday, several universities in Tehran — including Alzahra University, Sharif University of Technology, Amirkabir University of Technology, and the University of Tehran — witnessed gatherings that, in some instances, escalated into clashes among students.
According to the political desk of Saed News, citing IRNA, clashes at Sharif University were brought to an end through mediation by university officials, after which participants left the scene.
At this university, students from various student organizations, guided by staff members, exited the campus from both the northern and southern sides.
Gatherings at several other universities, including Amirkabir University of Technology, were accompanied by violence, during which several students were injured.
A gathering was also held today at Alzahra University, where a small number of participants attempted to create tension within the campus atmosphere by chanting slogans.
At University of Science and Culture, which had been the site of gatherings and scattered clashes the previous day, a statement had already been issued urging students to remain calm. The statement emphasized that, as an academic and educational environment, the university must avoid any tension, unrest, unauthorized gatherings, or behavior that could undermine the dignity and standing of the educational setting. A gathering was held there again today.
