SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the E3’s decision to misuse the JCPOA dispute mechanism, warning of a firm response, while EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas called for continued diplomatic engagement.
According to Saed News, In parallel with the unlawful and unjustified move by the three European countries to misuse the JCPOA dispute resolution mechanism and UN Security Council Resolution 2231, on Thursday evening, August 27, 2025, Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and coordinator of the JCPOA Joint Commission, held a telephone conversation with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
During the call, Araghchi strongly condemned the illegal and unjustified action of the three European countries, stating that such behavior only deepens doubts about their real intentions toward Iran and further complicates the diplomatic path. He stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will take appropriate measures in response to this provocative and improper act by the E3.
During the same call, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas reaffirmed the necessity of finding a diplomatic solution, expressing readiness to play a facilitating role for diplomacy and dialogue. She also called for continued contact and consultations between both sides for this purpose.
