Trump’s Doubts About Joining the Zionist Regime’s Aggressive Campaign Against Iran

SAEDNEWS: American media report that the U.S. president is facing fundamental questions about how to join the Zionist regime’s aggressive war against Iran.

Trump’s Doubts About Joining the Zionist Regime’s Aggressive Campaign Against Iran

According to SAEDNEWS, quoting ISNA, while U.S. President Donald Trump is considering joining the Zionist regime’s aggressive campaign against Iran’s nuclear facilities, informed sources say high-level Washington officials are consulting on how to do so without dragging the U.S. into a full-scale war.

Trump has stated he has not made a final decision on the matter, and government officials, after consulting with Washington’s allies, have not leaned toward any specific course of action.

Sources told CNN that Trump has reviewed possible plans but has put them on hold, wanting to see whether Iran will abandon its nuclear program.

Meanwhile, U.S. allies are urging Washington to refrain from intervening in the conflict. Reasons cited include the possibility of Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz and its impact on oil supply, as well as concerns that Iran may move toward developing nuclear weapons. Iran has also warned that if the U.S. joins the Zionist regime, it will carry out retaliatory actions.

Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, warned CNN that if the U.S. decides on military intervention, Iran will have no choice but to retaliate as it deems necessary and against targets it chooses. He emphasized, “This is clear—we are defending ourselves.”

Sources told CNN that the threat of Iran’s retaliatory actions is so strong that even before Trump makes a decision, the U.S. military has begun making arrangements concerning American forces in the region.

According to recently released satellite images, the Al Udeid base in Qatar, which hosted dozens of fighter jets, is now empty of any aircraft.

Axios reported that a key question preoccupying Trump is whether U.S. intervention in the war would truly destroy Iran’s fortified nuclear facility at Fordow.

U.S. officials told Axios that Trump wants to be sure such an action is genuinely necessary, can achieve the goal of eliminating Iran’s nuclear program, and does so without dragging the U.S. into another war in the region.

One U.S. official said Trump remains unconvinced about the matter.
