SAEDNEWS: Anti-War Protesters Rally Outside US Embassy in London Over Washington’s Threats Against Iran

London Demonstrators Rally Against US and Israeli Threats Toward Iran

According to Saednews, Anti-war activists, civil society campaigners and dozens of Iranians residing in Britain gathered outside the US Embassy in London on Saturday to protest Washington’s military threats against Iran and demand an end to US and Israeli aggression across the region.

Waving Iranian flags and holding placards bearing slogans such as “Hands Off Iran” and “No to War,” protesters condemned Washington’s hostile policies and Israeli military actions, calling for an immediate end to military escalation and warning of the dangers of further conflict.

The demonstration was organized by the Stop the War Coalition and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), with Iranian expatriates joining the rally in London’s Nine Elms district.

In its statement announcing the protest, CND referred to a recent US attack on Iran’s Qeshm Island and renewed threats by US President Donald Trump, emphasizing that the war pursued by Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must come to an end.

The organizers also pointed to the wider political consequences of the US-Israeli war against Iran, linking the Republican Party’s significant losses in the US midterm elections to growing public opposition to the military campaign. They also urged the British government to end its support for the conflict.

Protesters called on British Prime Minister Andy Burnham to clearly rule out the use of UK military installations, including RAF Fairford and Diego Garcia, in any further military operations against Iran.

They further demanded an end to Western military assistance to Israel, citing its ongoing genocide in Gaza and military operations across the region, which have prompted widespread international condemnation.

Earlier on Wednesday, the British prime minister said the Republican Party’s defeat in the US congressional midterm elections had opened a new window of opportunity to bring the war against Iran to an end, stressing the importance of de-escalation in West Asia.
