Attempts to Undermine Stability in Sistan and Baluchistan Align with US-Israeli Interests: Statement

According to Saednews, as per a statement released on Sunday, Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan has experienced several attacks over the past week, allegedly carried out by groups affiliated with the United States and Israel. The attacks reportedly aimed to undermine national security, fuel discord, and weaken unity and solidarity among the Iranian people.

The statement said the attacks claimed the lives of several Iranian citizens, including Nosrat Eftekhari, a distinguished female police official, once again highlighting the inhumane nature of terrorism. It stressed that such acts bring suffering to innocent people and ultimately serve the interests of Iran’s adversaries.

“No terrorist group represents any ethnic or religious community, and criminals must not be allowed to create divisions or exploit national unity and cohesion,” the statement emphasized.

It further noted that Sistan and Baluchestan, like every other part of Iran, deserves lasting security, peace, and equal opportunities for development. Given the province’s geographical location and its historical and cultural connections with Pakistan, the statement stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation in combating terrorism and establishing sustainable security.

Expressing condolences to the bereaved families of the Iranian victims, the statement urged the relevant authorities to identify and bring all perpetrators and those behind the attacks to justice, while taking measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

On Friday, Nosrat Eftekhari, deputy for cultural and social affairs at the police command in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, was killed in a terrorist attack near Zahedan.
