Saed News: An explosion at facilities belonging to a defense company in South Korea has left several dead and injured.
According to SAEDNEWS, citing Yonhap, South Korean police and fire officials announced that an explosion at a Hanwha facility in central South Korea killed four people and seriously injured two others with severe burns.
Fire officials believe the explosion of unknown origin occurred on the first floor of the defense facility. They plan to assess the damage and investigate the cause of the incident after the fire is extinguished.
Initial reports suggest that the explosion may have been caused by fuel used in propulsion systems.
Previously, two other explosions had also occurred at the same site in 2018 and 2019.
