SAEDNEWS: Drawing on Child’s Shirt Leads Security to Block Him From Boarding Plane

The Troublemaking Shirt That Prevented Its Owner From Boarding the Plane

According to Saed News, citing Tabnak Now, security at Johannesburg Airport in South Africa temporarily stopped a child and prevented him from boarding a flight because of the printed design on his T-shirt.

The 10-year-old boy, named Stevie Lucas, was traveling from Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, to visit his grandmother in Johannesburg. He was wearing the shirt because of his strong interest in snakes, spiders, and insects.

Airport officials asked Lucas not to board the plane, saying that the viper printed on his shirt could cause fear and concern among other passengers. The child’s parents said that airport security officers informed them about rules related to snake imagery on clothing and stated that the shirt was not acceptable.

In the end, the child was allowed to board the plane after turning the shirt inside out and hiding the snake image.
