Saed News: The Queen of England provided strange reasons to justify not going to visit her husband, Prince Philip, in the hospital.
According to SAEDNEWS, quoting the Young Journalists Club, the Duke of Edinburgh (Prince Philip) was hospitalized for four nights, and eventually, with the diagnosis of his attending physician, he was allowed to spend Christmas with his family.
Philip’s family, the 98-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth, did not visit him in the hospital, which became a subject of public humor and criticism. With rising criticism over why the Queen did not visit her husband, she was forced to clarify the matter.
Queen Elizabeth stated that the reason for not going to the hospital was an old rule and protocol within the royal family, saying: the royal family considers such visits disruptive because they create unwanted stress for patients under treatment. In general, members of the royal family do not visit each other in hospitals.
She said she does not want her presence in the hospital to create psychological pressure for other patients and their families. On the other hand, Philip disliked any unnecessary noise and had asked the Queen to stay with the family.
This explanation was not very convincing, as the royal family had previously visited their family members in hospitals. In fact, with the explanation she provided, the Queen was trying to justify not visiting her husband.
