Saed News: El Mencho, the powerful leader of a Mexican cartel, spent the final hours of his life in a luxury villa, but his secretive lifestyle came to an end when Mexican special forces stormed the location and killed him in a bloody ambush.
According to SAEDNEWS, Nemesio Oseguera, known as “El Mencho” and leader of one of Mexico’s most powerful cartels, spent the final hours of his life in a luxury villa inside a gated recreational housing complex in the hills of the western state of Jalisco.
The luxurious yet chaotic hideout was filled with ready-made food boxes and medications for insomnia and other health issues. Oseguera was hiding in the two-story villa with one of his lovers, and it appeared they had barely experienced life outside the property.
Images obtained from the scene showed a kitchen that looked as if it had exploded and was filled with food containers. Rotten strawberries, milk cartons, and water bottles were scattered around, while potatoes and tomatoes were spread across the floor.
Oseguera was killed in an ambush by Mexican army special forces. Intelligence agents located him in the compound after tracking one of his lovers.
The hidden villa featured large and simple rooms with wide windows and minimalist décor, but the cabinets were packed with medications for migraines, insomnia, acid reflux, and fungal infections. He had also placed statues of Catholic saints, including the Virgin Mary and Saint Jude Thaddeus, on a temporary altar, alongside a handwritten Bible passage about trusting God on a white sheet of paper.
Only a few sets of clothes had been neatly arranged, while the other beds had been left unmade.
Oseguera’s quiet life was shattered when Mexican forces entered the property, and he was shot dead while attempting to flee through the backyard. His violent death has triggered a fresh wave of cartel violence across the country, and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel has declared war on Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.
