According to SAEDNEWS, retired Israeli Major General Yitzhak Brik believes that Netanyahu is viewed by wide sections of public opinion in the United States and globally as one of the most controversial and unpopular leaders. According to his claim, many have come to the conclusion that “Israel is Netanyahu and Netanyahu is Israel.”
He warned that continuing this trend could lead, within the next few years, to a fundamental withdrawal of U.S. support for Israel, despite Washington being its most important strategic and economic ally.
Brik believes that the only way to change this reality is through an internal political transformation in Israel by changing the current leadership, an action that could help repair relations with the United States and restore Israel’s image in the world.
