Saed News: Unlike many animals, snakes use a special method to drink water since they do not have lips or the ability to suck.
According to SAEDNEWS, they place their lower jaw on the surface of the water and absorb it; in such a way that their body scales act almost like a sponge and, through capillary action, draw moisture inward. Some species even collect raindrops directly from their bodies.
This mechanism is so different from the way other animals drink that at first glance it does not even look like drinking.
