Saed News: The winners of the 2026 Pulitzer Prizes in the categories of books, drama, and music have been announced.

According to SAEDNEWS, the organizers of the Pulitzer Prize awarded the Fiction Prize to Daniel Kraus, a writer with a long history in fantasy, horror, and young adult novels, for his novel Angel Down, a World War I narrative that begins with a long sentence.

The Guardian reported that in the Drama category, Bess Wohl was named the winner for her work Liberation. The play examines feminist groups of the 1970s.

In this year’s History category, We The People: A History Of The U.S. Constitution by Jill Lepore was selected as the winner, while in the Biography category, Pride And Pleasure: The Schuyler Sisters In The Age Of Revolution by Amanda Vail was honored.

In addition, Things In Nature Merely Grow by Yiyun Li — a candid account of the suicides of her two sons — was selected as the winner in the Memoir or Autobiography category.

In the General Nonfiction category, There Is No Place For Us: Working And Homeless In America by Brian Goldstone won the prize.

The Poetry Prize went to Art Of Poetry by Juliana Spahr, while Gabriela Lena Frank received the Music Prize for Picaflor: A Myth For The Future.

Alongside the literary awards, the 2026 Pulitzer Prizes in Journalism were also announced, honoring investigations into corruption and abuse of power in the Trump administration, critical reporting on Meta, and powerful photographs depicting famine and war in Gaza.
