Saed News: The Police Commander of Sistan and Baluchestan Province announced the arrest of a fake doctor who was active in cyberspace in Taftan County by the Cyber Police (FATA).
According to SAEDNEWS, citing Rokna, Brigadier General “Doostali Jalilian” stated: A citizen referred to the police with a judicial complaint and reported that a person in a messaging application introduced himself as a gynecologist and, after providing consultations, obtained private photos and videos, then proceeded to blackmail and threaten to publish the received images and videos. A preliminary case was therefore opened.
He continued: After the complainant provided evidence and following specialized and intelligence operations carried out by cyber police officers of Sistan and Baluchestan, and in order to prevent family disputes and breakdowns, the suspect was identified in a short time and arrested in coordination with authorities in Taftan County.
The police commander added: After arrest, the suspect initially denied the charges, but after being confronted with evidence collected by cyber police experts, he confessed. The case was completed and referred to judicial authorities.
He also noted: Technical investigations into the suspect’s devices showed that many citizens across the country had fallen victim to this fraudster, and those affected can file complaints with their local cyber police offices.
