Saed News: The Police Commander of Isfahan Province announced the identification and arrest of the killer of a 60-year-old woman in Khorasgan County, stating that Criminal Investigation detectives were able to locate and detain the suspect less than two hours after the crime occurred.

According to SAEDNEWS, Brigadier General Abdolvahab Hasanvand, the Police Commander of Isfahan Province, detailing the case said: following a report of the murder of a 60-year-old woman in Khorasgan County, criminal investigation officers of the provincial police, along with crime scene experts, immediately attended the location.

He added that initial investigations and field inquiries showed that an unknown individual entered the victim’s home, strangled her, and after stealing her gold jewelry, fled the scene wearing a chador.

Brigadier General Hasanvand continued that detectives, through specialized operations, intelligence tracking, and scientific crime detection methods, managed to identify the killer in less than two hours.

According to him, the suspect, a 40-year-old man, was arrested in a swift operation in Khorasgan County and transferred to the Criminal Investigation Police for further inquiries.

The Police Commander of Isfahan Province noted that the suspect confessed during initial interrogations to committing the murder with the motive of stealing gold jewelry, and stolen items worth approximately 5 billion rials were also recovered and seized by detectives.

Emphasizing the operational readiness and intelligence dominance of the Criminal Investigation Police, he stated that citizens’ security is a red line for the police, and detectives will deal decisively, swiftly, and firmly with perpetrators of violent crimes.

Brigadier General Hasanvand concluded that the suspect, after completing investigations and case formation, was referred to judicial authorities for legal proceedings.
