SaedNews: A 17-hour search operation to rescue “Malikeh,” a 2.5-year-old missing child in the mountains of Batman, successfully ended despite heavy rain and severe cold. The little girl, who had wandered 5 kilometers away from the village, was found by thermal drones and rescue teams while in a severely weakened condition.
According to SAEDNEWS, Malikeh Erkin, a 2.5-year-old child who went missing in the village of Baghlija in the Gercüş district of Batman province, was found the next morning after approximately 12 to 17 hours of extensive search operations. The search was carried out with the participation of the gendarmerie, rescue teams, tracking dogs, and thermal drones, involving hundreds of people. Adverse weather conditions (rain and cold) made the operation difficult. The child was found about 5 to 6 kilometers from the village in a weakened state. Fortunately, her physical condition has been reported as stable.
