SaedNews: The first girl in the family was born after 138 years and shocked everyone!
According to SAEDNEWS, citing Rokna, a family in Michigan announced that after more than 138 years on the paternal line (Andrew Clark), they had their first baby girl.
The father of the baby said about the moment they learned the baby’s gender: “I thought it would be blue in the cookies again and another boy would be born in this lineage.”
Andrew and his wife Caroline announced the birth of their daughter Audrey on March 17 in an interview with Good Morning America. Andrew claims that family records show Audrey is the first girl born in their direct lineage since 1885.

Caroline said that when Andrew told her his family had always had only boys, she did not believe it at first. She recalled: “I said, oh, there is always a 50% chance it’s a boy or a girl. What do you mean?” But Andrew said: “No, according to official records, we haven’t had a girl in the direct lineage for more than 100 years.”
Caroline said Andrew’s mother confirmed this family history. She explained: “They said yes, there has not been a girl in the direct lineage. He has uncles and cousins who have daughters, but in his own direct line there was no girl.”
Caroline, who also has a 4-year-old son with Andrew, explained why her daughter is considered a “rainbow baby born on a lucky day.”
She said they had a miscarriage in January 2021 and it took 15 months to conceive Audrey. She was born on March 17, 2023 (St. Patrick’s Day). She added that her older brother Cameron loves her very much.
Caroline said they were not necessarily hoping for a boy or a girl, only for a healthy baby.
The parents said they first learned the baby’s gender during a gender reveal party in September 2022, using decorated cookies with pink filling inside.
Andrew said he was “shocked” when he found out. He said: “I thought it would be blue, so I expected another boy. I was staring at the cookies thinking, is it really pink? It was a pleasant surprise.”
Caroline recalled that during the countdown before biting the cookies, everyone screamed and jumped in disbelief when they saw the result.
Andrew added that even choosing a name felt unusual for him because their family had always raised boys, and throughout the pregnancy he kept doubting the result.
Caroline said they are extremely happy and grateful that the baby is healthy and the delivery went well.
