Iran's Embassy in UK Honors Rais Ali Delavari as a National Hero

According to SAEDNEWS: Iran's Embassy in London has released a message honoring Rais Ali Delvari, a national hero known for his fight against British colonialism. The statement came on the anniversary of his martyrdom.

The embassy described Delvari as a significant figure in Iranian history, celebrated for his resistance against British colonial forces in the early 20th century. “Today, Iran commemorates Rais Ali Delvari, whose courage makes him a lasting symbol of Iranian patriotism and the struggle against colonialism,” the embassy shared on its X account.

The message also noted a thought-provoking point: “Were he alive today, it’s conceivable that some British authorities might label him a terrorist for his opposition to their occupation.”

Rais Ali Delvari is remembered as an independent fighter and activist who led popular resistance against British troops that invaded Iran in 1915. His legacy continues to inspire many in Iran as a symbol of resilience against colonialism.
