SAEDNEWS: The Public Relations Director of Tehran’s Water and Wastewater Company announced that, due to contamination risks from tanker delivery, fully hygienic, non‑saleable nylon‑packaged drinking water has been prepared and will be distributed only where residents face water access problems.
According to Saed News, the Public Relations Director of Tehran’s Water and Wastewater Company said that, because of the possibility of contamination in tanker‑based distribution, fully hygienic, non‑saleable nylon‑packaged drinking water has been prepared and will be distributed only if residents’ access to potable water is impaired.
According to the political service of Saed News, the Public Relations Director, referring to pressure drops in some areas of Tehran that sometimes lead to water outages, stated that necessary plans have been made for the free distribution of drinking water in those areas.
Regarding the distribution method, he said: “Because of the possibility of contamination in tanker distribution, drinking water has been prepared in fully hygienic (non‑saleable) nylon packaging.”
Nadimi emphasized: “These will be distributed in those areas only if residents’ access to drinking water becomes problematic.”
The Public Relations Director of Tehran Province’s Water and Wastewater Company concluded: “Distribution areas for these water packages have not yet been precisely determined, and further details will be announced subsequently.”
It appears that the new nylon‑packaged drinking water is more environmentally friendly and costs less to produce than conventional bottles.
