SAEDNEWS: The Chinese deputy foreign minister, who has traveled to Tehran to participate in the third round of the Iran-China-Saudi Arabia trilateral meeting, met with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs.

Iranian and Chinese Deputy FMs Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

The Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister, visiting Tehran for the third round of the Iran-China-Saudi Arabia trilateral meeting, met with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi, on Monday evening.

During the meeting, Takht-e-Ravanchi highlighted the comprehensive strategic partnership between Iran and China and the leaders’ commitment to fully develop bilateral relations. He expressed Iran’s readiness to deepen cooperation in key areas and implement the 25-year comprehensive cooperation plan between the two nations.

Praising China’s constructive role in promoting stability and peace in West Asia, he welcomed enhanced bilateral and multilateral coordination between Iran and China.

The Chinese deputy foreign minister underscored both countries’ determination to advance ties regardless of international or regional developments. He also affirmed China’s readiness to contribute constructively to strengthening Iran-Saudi Arabia cooperation for regional peace and stability, both bilaterally and within the trilateral framework.

The officials exchanged views on a range of bilateral and multilateral issues, including the latest developments in Iran’s nuclear file, preparations for the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026, and efforts to expand multilateralism through close cooperation in international and regional organizations, such as the SCO and BRICS.
