SAEDNEWS: A group of female Iranian crafters from Hamedan province recently showcased their skills at Artigiano in Fiera, held in Milan from December 6 to 14.
Milan emerged as the global center for craftsmanship, hosting the largest international event dedicated to handmade art, culture, food, and traditions from around the world over a three-day period, CHTN reported.
Deputy Head of Hamedan’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department, Mohammadreza Khalaji, noted that women artisans from Hamedan, Arezou Shahdoosti and Somayeh Hoti, participated in the exhibition, with their works recognized as the best.
Highlighting the exhibition’s focus on local foods and handicrafts, Khalaji emphasized that Shahdoosti is a leading figure in Hamedan’s handicraft sector. She not only participated this year but has also been part of the event in previous editions.
Khalaji stressed the importance of comprehensive support for artists attending domestic and international exhibitions, stating that engaging with global artisans will significantly enhance marketing opportunities for local craftsmanship.
