SAEDNEWS: Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes enjoyed a family day out at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, marking the first time the couple has been photographed together at a public event in almost a decade.
According to SAEDNEWS, On August 4, the adorable couple took a family outing to the 2024 Olympics in Paris, marking their first public appearance together in nearly a decade.
Joined by their daughters, Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 8, Eva and Ryan watched the women’s gymnastics uneven bars final at Bercy Arena, where Team USA's Suni Lee secured a bronze medal, while China's Qiu Qiyuan earned silver and Algeria's Kaylia Nemour took home the gold.
The pair was also seen at the Equestrian Dressage Individual Grand Prix Freestyle event at the stunning Chateau de Versailles, where Germany's Jessica von Bredow-Werndl claimed first place. Her teammate Isabell Werth finished in second, and Britain's Charlotte Fry earned bronze.
After taking a step back from acting to focus on motherhood, Eva, 50, and Ryan, 43, have kept a low profile over the past several years. Their last documented public appearance together was back in 2015 during a Q&A event for Ryan's directorial debut, Lost River, at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. Prior to that, they made their first—and last—red carpet appearance together at the premiere of The Place Beyond the Pines, where they first fell in love and expressed their desire to start a family.
"I wasn't considering having kids until I met her," Ryan shared in a 2023 GQ interview. "But after meeting Eva, I realized I didn't want kids without her. Filming The Place Beyond the Pines felt like we were a family, and I wanted that to be real and not just pretend. I knew that building a life together would be incredibly special."
Eva echoed this sentiment, revealing that motherhood wasn’t on her radar until she met Ryan. "It was very specific to him," the Hitch actress told Women's Health in 2019. "After I met him, it made sense to me to have his kids."
