According to SAEDNEWS, citing Fars News Agency, he stated that more than 20 treatment centers and hospitals had been targeted. Among them, Gandhi Hospital has been completely taken out of service due to the destruction of key sections including operating rooms, the specialized infertility treatment center (IVF), and the angiography department.

The head of the Medical Council explained the sensitive situation of the hospital’s IVF center, noting that despite physical damage to the building, the medical staff acted with extraordinary effort. In critical moments, all frozen embryos belonging to patients were stabilized and transferred to specialized storage tanks. According to him, no harm was done to the embryos and the concerns of families have been fully resolved.

In support of healthcare personnel, Raeis‑zadeh also announced that in order for physicians to focus entirely on treating the wounded and patients without dealing with administrative issues, the licenses of medical offices that were set to expire in the month of Esfand have been automatically extended until the end of Farvardin 1405.

Referring to the casualties among healthcare workers, he noted that more than 18 members of the country’s medical elite and dedicated healthcare staff have so far lost their lives.

He concluded by emphasizing that the medical community remains alongside the people with full equipment capacity and a strong spirit. Although centers such as Gandhi Hospital have been taken out of operation, he assured that other hospitals—despite sustaining damage—continue to provide medical services with resilience, and the public should have no concerns about receiving necessary healthcare.
