SAEDNEWS: The Foreign Minister said tonight, “We will attack American interests wherever we find them.”
According to Saed News, citing Fars, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Iraqchi stated tonight that Iran has no intention to negotiate, and no talks have taken place so far.
He added: “It is natural that we cannot just sit and watch. Wherever we find American interests, we will target them, and anyone participating in such attacks will, in our view, be considered a legitimate target.”
The head of Iran’s diplomacy emphasized that the country’s current policy is to continue resistance and defend the nation, with no plan to negotiate.
Iraqchi reiterated that “so far, no negotiations or discussions with the American side have occurred. The U.S. has sent various messages through different intermediaries in recent days. Responding to these messages through our friendly countries, either with our positions or necessary warnings, is not a negotiation or dialogue—it is simply a message exchange through intermediaries.”
Regarding how to strengthen Iran’s scientific and strategic standing, he explained that in these message exchanges, Iran has repeated its core positions and issued warnings where necessary. Strong warnings were given concerning potential attacks on infrastructure, forcing the other side to shorten a 48-hour window they had initially set.
Iraqchi continued: “Now they have offered a longer-term period, primarily due to the steadfastness of our armed forces, the firm positions they took, and the warnings delivered via media and diplomatic channels. We made it clear that entering this conflict could have endless consequences, causing disaster for the entire region, which benefits no one.”
He added that Iran’s stance in this conflict has been strong and unwavering, leaving no room for opposition.
“We are not seeking war—this is not our war. We did not start it, and we want it to end in a way that it does not repeat,” Iraqchi said. “This is why we do not want a ceasefire. That does not mean we seek war; we avoid a ceasefire because it is a vicious cycle that can create these crises. We want the war to end on our terms, ensuring it does not happen again, teaching our enemies a lesson to prevent even thinking about attacking Iran, and ensuring the Iranian people’s losses are compensated.”
On the sacrifices of Iran’s forces, he said: “Over the past 26 days, our armed forces have shown great devotion; each of them deserves our respect. They have made precious sacrifices. The people have been present in the field, and we honor each one of them.”
He also praised the diplomats at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noting that they performed their duties and served as the voice of the Iranian people abroad.
Finally, Iraqchi stated: “Through this war, we have shown the world that no one can challenge the Islamic Republic. We have created a security shield that sends a clear message: meddling with Iran or playing with our interests carries severe consequences. This is an intrinsic guarantee of security that we have established ourselves.”
