SAEDNEWS: Iranian female lifeguarding team have won silver medal in the Lifesaving World Championships 2024 (LWC 2024).
According to SAEDNEWS, The Iranian women’s national lifesaving team has made the country proud by winning a silver medal at the 2024 World Lifesaving Championships in Gold Coast, Australia. They earned this impressive achievement in the 4×90 meter beach relay event.
The Iranian team, which included Maryam Mohammadi, Kazhan Rostami, Faezah Ashourpour, and Pardis Abdol Mohammadi, faced tough competition from strong teams representing Spain, Australia, Egypt, England, New Zealand, France, and Canada.
In the end, the Iranian team secured the runner-up position, taking home the silver medal. The gold medal was claimed by the Egyptian team, while the Australian team finished in third place.
The Lifesaving World Championships 2024 (LWC 2024), taking place from August 23 to September 9, 2024, features various events, and the Iranian team showcased their skills brilliantly. They also won silver medals in two other categories, the 40 ft and 90 ft beach relay events, further highlighting their strong performance at the championships.
